It's been a while!

Hello!

It has been quite some time since I have posted.  In some aspects that is great because that means I've been very busy.  The past year has been remarkable to say the least.  My little tutu business has grown tremendously into a full time endeavor.  I credit my success to my creative passion, the support of my family and wonderful customers, my dedication to making quality products and continued great customer service.

I have recently started my newest online shop which was initially my goal before I opened shop at Etsy.  I am so excited about tutugorgeousgirl.com as I will be able to offer my customers more than just tutus and accessories that I make.  I will be adding handpicked items from designers around the country and world.  I will be updating the new website often so keep checking back.

Photo Session Fun, Part 3

Last night I was taking pictures of my daughter in a new bustle tutu, The Pixie Candy Rainbow, and my oldest son jumped in for some fun.  This is the only picture I got before he ran off embarrassed.  I love candid shots of my kids!  It captures their personalities so well, and this glimpse of them having fun together is priceless.

Photo Session Fun, Part 2

This evening we had a little photo shoot outside and I thought I would share some cute shots of my two youngest. 

My son was eager to be a part of the picture taking so I told him

to sit with my daughter and for them to be "cute".

Aaww!  My eyes started to water a little.



(insert the sound of tires screeching on pavement)

"Yuck!"  they say.

New! Mini Top Hats

Mini top hats are a fabulous choice for birthdays, Halloween costumes, photo props or special occasions. 

We have a tradition in our house that the birthday boy or girl wears a "special" birthday hat.  For the boys we have the over sized, funny hat and the girls the mini top hats.  Each birthday the hat is taken out of storage to be worn for their special day.  It's so much fun to go back through photos of the children (and adults) opening presents and blowing out candles in their special birthday hat.

Each hat is custom made and measures 5 inches in diameter by 2 inches high.  The hat is held in place by an elastic headband that will fit toddlers and up.

Photo Session Fun

If you can't tell I take almost all the pictures you see in my shops.  I am by no means a photographer and it has been a huge challenge for me to learn.  Fortunately, I have a fantastic model that seems to know more about getting great pictures than I do!

I thought it would be fun to to show my make-shift photo studio, on location shots and the silliness that goes on during a photo shoot.  I will be posting different pictures periodically so check back often.
